
In 2007 she began training with Crossfit and from there she knew that her life would never be the same. Shortly after she began playing Roller Derby for the Bellingham Roller Betties and saw an amazing opportunity to apply what she had learned and bring those experiences and training to a whole new arena. In 2012 she began coaching Derby and recognized quickly that the same elements of fitness off skates were a necessity when competing on them. She has been implementing agility, balance and plyometrics to practices and seen first hand how understanding simple body mechanics and how to correct their inefficiencies can make a world of difference, even to someone who has never played a sport in their life. After training with Crossfit she discovered how incredibly important a sense of community was when setting and achieving goals. In 2013, Chantell received her Level One Crossfit Trainers Certificate and looks forward to contributing to the success of Pro Fitness Northwest but more importantly facilitating health and fitness for all who walk through the door.
